Marriage is an integral part of the divine plan of creation of God, who created
both male and female in His image, that they might be one body and multiply on
this earth (Gen 1: 28). Marriage is a natural and sacred institution. Families are
built from marriage. Parents, children and other family members form the
primary unit of a church which lives in love, care, hospitality, forgiveness, prayer
and faith.
Marriage is an intimate union between a man and a woman. It is both a natural
institution and a sacred union, because it is rooted in the divine plan of creation.
There is an equal partnership of a man and a woman in a marriage relationship. It
comes to us from the hand of God. Parents, children, and family members form
what is called a domestic church or church in the home. This is the primary unit of
the Church – the place where God resides in the daily love, care, hospitality,
sacrifice, forgiveness, prayer and faith of ordinary families.
The bride and groom enter into a covenant in which their love is sealed and
strengthened by the Love of God. This bond is precious, exclusive and lifelong and
established by God and so it should never be dissolved (Mathew 19:6).
